| Anaheim was a bit disappointing due to the rain. AMA took only the top four riders and lotto picked the remaining riders needed. This left only Kyle Mace and Dylan Lord to compete in round one. |

| 125 cc Heat One |
 |
| Ivan Tedesco won. Dylan was running a solid fourth place until the last lap when he crashed and had to go the LCQ. In the LCQ Dylan ran a strong third place, but crashed again and couldn’t lift his bike out of the deep mud. |

| 125 cc Heat Two |
 |
| Our Christian brother Nathan Ramsey won. Kyle Mace was running a solid seventh place when he also crashed and went to LCQ. In the LCQ he crashed again and got stuck in the mud as well. |
 |
| 250 cc Heat One |
 |
| It was awsome to see Jeremy McGrath back. After the first lap, McGrath moved from
third to first. Bubba got a bad start, but managed to overcome this obstacle and due to
the terrible muddy conditions, ended up being the only rider to do most of the jumps. He
moved up to third place when he crashed breaking a lever. Amazingly, Bubba was able to
get up, ride, pass everyone and take the checkered flag. McGrath cased it on the finish
line jump, but still ended up qualifying in the eigth place spot. LaRocco came in second
with Burn rounding off the top three. |

| 250 cc Heat Two |
 |
| Heat two was all about Reed and Carmichael. The battle was intense for the entire race, with Reed tripling in the mud. Inevitably, Reed went down with Carmichael taking the win. |

All I can say about the 125 race is it was awesome to see my good buddy Nate Ramsey take the win!
The 250 race was crazy. The mud was intense, riders were flying every which way. Carmichael took the lead, Reed tripled over him, Reed went down and Carmichael took
the lead. Bubba went down, Carmichael went down and Windham took the lead. In the end Windham kept his cool and his patience paid off. |
