Pre Qualifier at Glen Helen.
The weather was a perfect 85 degrees with a light breeze. Zoo Racing Ministries had the Mace brothers, Robbins, and Kalisak representing us in the 250cc class.
The first 125cc pro. race was sweet! Although it would have been sweeter if most of the Zoo 125cc riders weren't hurt! There was a sick canyon jump that had to be at least 120’.Only the top riders were doing it at first, and the 2nd moto only a few more riders. Nathan Ramsey crashed on it, packed it up and went to the hospital. The track was long. They used some of the REM track, rough, rutted around 2 min.
The moto ended with 338 Jason Lawrence #1, 123 Brett Metcalfe #2, 124 Andrew McFarland #3, 323 troy Adams 4th.
Second moto: Jason Lawrence did not race. He packed it up and said he was done testing for next week's AMA MX round one. 517 Devalas #1, 123 Metcalfe #2, 323 Troy Adams #3.
250cc pro race. Zoo started the race off with a team prayer. Scott Richardson, Steve Shippy, Henry Kalisak and Tyler. Both moto one and two it seemed to go the same way for team Zoo. Kyle Mace running a solid 15th, give or take . Justin 18th and Tyler K 20th Robbins had some bad luck crashing and his 450 was unwilling to start.
250cc moto one was 24 Josh Grant #1 by a good lead, 330 Darcy Lange #2, 49 Joe Oehlhof #3.
250cc moto two. 24 Josh Grant #1, I think 965 Balbi #2, 330 Lange #3, 61 Stiles #4 and 198 Jacob Saylor (MDK) 4th.
I was so stoked to see the miracles that God has done for our 250cc riders. All have been healed from breaks that should have ended their racing. So it was a win for Zoo to be able to see the manifestation of the power of God at the track. This will be a great year of racing and ministry at the races.
